About Us
Girl and Boy-child, Widows and Widowers, albinos and Disadvantaged(GWAD) CARE P.V.O is a non-profit organisation dedictated to creating a safe and supportive environment for vulnerable communities.
Our Purpose
Vision Statement
To create a safe environment and supportive communities that uplift vulnerable children, girl and boy-child, widows and widowers, albinos and all marginalized groups into fullness of life.
Mission Statement
We commit to working together through shared knowledge, sustainable project practices, fellowships and productions to enhance GWAD and households through income generating projects, food security and promote a Safe Environment.
Aims
- To provide relief and safe environment to girl and boy-child, widows and widowers, albinos and disadvantaged persons (blind, orphans, crippled and Down syndrome) from ward to national level, promoting better health, education, food security and sustainable projects to eradicate poverty.
Objectives
- Provision of education, health and a safe environment to GWAD communities (ICT skills and poverty eradication).
- To provide materials and technical resources to children, albinos, orphans and people with disabilities in ICT and vocational skills (VTC), clothing, food, and shelter.
- To advocate meaningful national involvement and participation of GWAD groups on matters affecting their well-being.
- To establish inclusive information resource centres for the above groups.
- To implement GWAD-friendly community empowerment programs in vulnerable communities.
